Our first workshop was camera training. I used a Fuji Finepix S900 digital camera which was set to manual settings. I learnt about aperture and shutter speed. The aperture is the cameras eye, which is like a pinhole letting in light. Turning the wheel will change the shutter speed. E.g If I was taking a picture of the moon at night, I would have to let a lot of light in (aperture) but would also have to take the picture with a fast shutter speed to avoid blurring of the image but making the image sharp. We were asked to use the cameras to take pictures for a horror poster we were to make on Photoshop. I used long shots and wide shots for my poster. The wide shot was used for the setting and surroundings, and the long shot which was made into a masked human was put in front and duplicated. When taking the picture I had to take in to account the rule of thirds (seen above)
